Walnut oil - used in oil painting from the 15th to the 18th century. It is suitable as a binder for white paints, it yellows less than linseed oil. Thank to its low viscosity, it holds more pigment than other oils ,so the colour covers more. After drying, it forms a harder and stronger colourless film compared to the film of others oils.
